Painting the BIG red barn

Saturday we were able to help Brandon's
great uncle Darris paint his barn.
We woke up at 6:00 am. Way early for me!
We made the drive to Wyoming.
The barn is huge. We had our work cut out for
us. It was good to meet Brandon's extended family
and help him out at the same time. It was a good fun
experience for our family.
The Barn before the new paint job.

The kids checking out the chickens.

Sierra could not get enough of watching
the horses. From a safe distance of course!

The girls had a fun time around the farm getting
all dirty.

Some of the men working hard.

Lisa and Katie painting the trim.

Sierra painting and making a mess!

Lunch and a few words from Darris and Fern.

Everyone enjoying the break from painting
and every ones company.

I'm not sure why but Sierra had a fascination
with this wood carved bear.
Probably because she new it was fake and
it was her size.

Bob and Ryan back to work.

Paige did more paint rolling then painting.
She always had so much paint on her roller.

Riley had more paint on her clothes then the barn.
I was amazed that the girls liked painting all day.
They never got sick of it.

Sierra found something to ride in the barn.

There was a rope swing in the barn that has been
there since Brandon was a kid. The kids loved it!
It took Riley a while to get brave enough to swing
from the loft. She finally did it and loved it!

The finished product. It looks so good!
Nice job everyone!

7th Anniversary

Brandon and I celebrated our
7th wedding Anniversary on
September 5th

What an awesome 7 years it has been!
We grow closer together ever year.
I love being married to the best man in the world.
He is so good to me and for me in every way.

Words can't express my love to him.
He is my best friend, my eternal companion,
who has taught me so many things by
his wonderful on going example.

I love you Brandon!

I'm so lucky and grateful to be married and
sealed to Brandon. He makes life worth living.

Since we spent the day in Logan for Skyla.
We did not get much of a chance to be alone.
That night back up in Bear Lake. Brandon and I
went on a 4-wheeler ride in the rain. He took
me back up the mountain to where he proposed.
It was such a wonderful romantic night.

Seven reasons why I love my Husband...

1-He makes me laugh!
2-He works so hard for his family.
3-He takes me to the temple every month.
4-He honors his Priesthood.
5-He is so good looking!!!
6-He loves me, and tells me everyday.
7-He forgives all my short comings.

Brandon is my everything and I could not live
one moment with out him.

Here's to another amazing 7 years!

Off to BEAR LAKE

We had a wonderful time up at Bear Lake.
Some of our good moments where this...

Driving up Logan canyon with the windows rolled
down and the music all the way up singing
to Taylor Swift's song " You belong with me".
Or the high heel, T-shirt song, is what my girls
call it. Brandon even sang with us girls!
Don't tell him I told! They thought heir daddy was
hilarious! Actually me and the girls started feeling car sick
which happens most often so the windows went down and
the bags came out. What bad genetics.
Sorry girls.

We were the first ones up there so we went to
Merlins for dinner. They have a park for the
kids to play in.
I don't know where Riley gets her monkey skills.
It must be from recess at school!

Sierra loving it!

Paige actually eating a hamburger in stead of chicken
nuggets from Mcdonalds.

The girls wanted to go to the beach and play before
the rest of the family came up. It was so much fun!
We were the only ones on the beach. Brandon and
I played frisbee which I must admit my 3yr old
can throw the frisbee better then me. Brandon told
me I play frisbee like his sister Alli plays basketball!
Sorry Alli. We can't be good at everything!
The girls played of course in the sand.

The lake was so calm and the sky was so beautiful there.
Brandon loves those moments when it's just
his wife and girls.

Brandon and the girls started skipping rocks in the river,
which then started everyone stuffing rocks down every ones
clothes. Riley thought that was a fun game!

The girls had a few laughs in the paddle boat.

The moon was so big and bright which you can't
quite tell in the picture.

Skyla received her Endowments...
The next Day Brandon and I drove down to the
Logan temple to be with Skyla when she received her
endowments. We left the girls up in Bear Lake
with Grandma and Grandpa Gardner.
It was so wonderful in the temple. I was able to
be Skyla's Escort. Which I'm so grateful for. Skyla is
a wonderful happy person. Being the escort was
very rewarding. I was able to sit in the instruction
room with her as she was preparing for the endowment
session. So many wonderful things were talked about
that I forget or don't remember since I received
my own endowments 7 years ago.
John, Cheryl, Brandon, Me, Skyla, Michael, Scott, Justin & David

I had to have our picture taken in front of the temple.
After all it was our 7th year anniversary.

After the temple we went to a Mexican restaurant,
Cafe Sabora. And met up with my brother Patrick
and his wife Michelle. It was so nice and supportive of
them to drive all the way up to Logan. At the end of
the table was Michale's best friends. They have
always been so good to Michael.
What a wonderful day! I'm so happy for
Skyla. The temple was such a good place to
be for our anniversary.

Back at the Cabin....

Lisa and Bob doing the dishes. They are such
a great example of a righteous marriage.
After Sunday naps the kids or adults needed
to get out. So we headed off to the park.
We went to this park a couple of years ago,
but they have added a bunch of new fun things.
We played the traditional game of "PIG". Which I
won! Yes, I won three men. Don't forget it Bob, Jeff
and Brandon. But then Bob and Brandon killed me
with the lay ups on the second game. Lay ups
are so hard.

Riley and Paige attempted the rock wall.

Riley's and my favorite thing at the park was
the marry go round. It tilts a little at the top so
you continue to go around.

Bob, Brandon, Jeff, Rachael and me thought
we would give it a try.

Another cool thing at the park was this
rope jungle gym. Being the competetor that I am
I raced Brandon to the top. And I won, barrley. But he
only had flip flops on. I biffed it the second time around.
To bad we didn't get that on camera.

The girls loved that there were things at the park
that mommy and daddy could play on with them!

Last Day on the Beach...
It was a cold Labor day but still fun.
The Augers decided to drop on by. Riley was
so excited to have her friend, Elyssa there to play.
Paul and Brandon dug holes for them.
It was pretty cold so us adults just bundled up and
talked while the kids stayed out of the water
and played in the sand.

Flowers on any old day

My girls are so sweet!
They picked me some flowers from
a ward garden in their Grandma's neighborhood.
It wasn't my birthday or I didn't graduate from
school. My girls just thought of me.
Riley is always picking weeds, I mean flowers
for me but on this day it meant a lot more.
They were all so excited to give them to me.
I must have needed the extra love
on that particular night.
More and More lately I have been
pondering on how much I am blessed
and to have 3 wonderful, beautiful girls!

I love you Riley, Paige and Sierra!

Riding our bikes to school

Riley has been riding her bike to school
with her friend Hallie and her Mom, so she
knew what she was doing when it came
time for me to ride to school with them.
It is a little over 3 miles round trip.
I don't yet own my own bike so I had to borrow
my sister's which has the tiniest seat. I was pretty
sore for a couple days after. I should invent a seat
that is realistic for the human behind! Seriously
could they make them any smaller?
We rode to school for safety awareness week.
Good thing that only happens once a year.

Hallie and Riley

Riley and Me.
I love that Riley still likes having me around.
And I love being able to be involved with anything
my kids are doing. Thanks to my friend for watching
Sierra so I could be with Riley.
