Bear Lake week end

The first day we went to the pools at sweet water,
and Riley and Brandon did some underwater
racing.

The next day we went up to the ice caves.

And on Monday the 1st of September
on our way home down Logan canyon we stopped
at Tony Grove to hang out and play.
The water was very cold but the kids dipped
their feet in to test it out anyway.  Brandon and
the girls tried fishing with no luck.
Brandon took my dare and walked out into the
middle of the pond on a long fallen tree.  We
all took a walk around Tony Grove before we
headed home.

Sierra's 7th Birthday

Sierra wanted to hand out store brownies in school
for her birthday treat!

Saturday the 23rd on her birthday Sierra helped me
put together party favors for her party that night!
It was marshmallows, stick pretzels and an orange
mike and ike for a Olaf kit.
Sierra wanted a Frozen party.  So that is what we did.

Before the party we went as a family to the Pizza
Pie Cafe for Sierra's birthday dinner.  Her choice!
After dinner the family came over for her party.
Sierra was so cute and was excited with each gift she
got.

Bear Lake with Friends

We took our friends the Roush's and Rowell's to Bear Lake
for the weekend.  It's always a good time with good friends!

Owen loves Max and Max is so cute with Owen.  They rode
tubes together and had a ton of fun!

Sunday we took a hike to Bloomington Lake.  My kids
wanted to do the rope swing but I was not quite sure I wanted
them to since we were in clothes and it was Sunday.
The Rowell and Roush kids went for it in their clothes
so I gave in and let my kids who dared too.  Paige did
it a couple of times and Sierra went for it when I was
on the other side of the lake watching.  She scared us
pretty bad when she was swinging and did not let go
until the last minute and almost landed on the rocks.
She said she wanted to land closer to the edge so she did
not have to swim back very far.  But it made us so nervous!
The water was freezing so Paige and Sierra were pretty cold.
Riley was not quite brave enough to swing on the rope.
I think she was the smart one.  She got to stay dry and warm.

Crossing the big log was a bit tricky for some of us.  Poor
Andrew while crossing dropped his phone in the water and did
not know it for a few minutes.  Luckily it was just fine.

Promitory Point

We got to go to Promitory Point with cousins and
Grandpa and Grandma and my niece Emery!
I was watching Emery all day for Kami.
I have never been there and my kids thought it was
pretty fun!  It was on the free day which was nice!
They got to see how the trains work and use wood to fuel
the engine.  Grandpa showed the kids the middle rail road
track, which they called the spike.
The kids got to try old fashion trains that you have to pump
with a partner to move.  They also got to pretend to put
logs in the train fire.  They got to play games with
cow pies, like the kids did long ago.  They all loved it and
did not want to leave when the time came.

Our family and my sister and Emery went
to the Ogden temple open house!

The Ogden temple is so beautiful inside!
Beautiful lighting and colors!  Brandon and I
are so happy to have our temple back!

Owen's 4th Birthday

My Owen turned 4!

He wanted a Power Ranger Birthday Party!
So he got a Power Ranger Cake and the candy
sushi is because Owen mentioned that the Power Rangers
go to a restaurant to hang out and eat sushi!  So I made candy
Sushi because it's too expensive for the real stuff and no kid
would want real sushi!

After the party, Brandon and I cleaned up and put the girls to
bed.  Owen was still too excited to go to bed.  So he hung out with
his Mom and Dad for a bit.  We forgot to give him his fishing pole
that Great Grandpa Gardner gave Brandon.  Owen thought it
was the coolest thing ever!

I just love my cute 4 year old boy!
