Thanks Giving 2011

Sierra had her Thanks Giving

Feast at Preschool and got to

decorate a costume for it.

She had help from her older sisters.

For the holiday this year we had my family over

for the turkey and all the trimmings. It was a

wonderful day so thanks everyone for helping

out and making such yummy food!

Hopefully some day I will have a bigger table!

It was such a great day we played a little soccer

in the back. The teams were not quite even

but mostly fair. It was Uncle Michael and Paige

against everyone else. We do not have the most

ideal yard for soccer it was more like an

obstacle course. Going around the swing set

and up and down each level. But I guess that

made it more fun!

My family was in town for the entire week end

which is rare. They usually come and leave in

the same day. So we got to do other things

together besides eat and run! My mom and John

took us all bowling. Not the easiest with

little ones who want to run down the lane

after the ball!

I wish I had some pictures of us crazy people

that headed to Walmart Thanksgiving day

for shopping. It was actually quite fun

beating the crowds with the family.

Brandon endured for a little and went

home.

All in all it was a great weekend.

There are so many things to be grateful for

specially this time of year but the best

is Family.

Brandon and I have the best!

We take the good with the bad

and call it ours!

Sara's wedding

Brandon's cousin Sara got married

in the Salt Lake Temple so we all

headed down for the wedding.

Some of the older cousins that were

not endowed yet watched the kids

while we were in the temple for the

ceremony. It was a pretty cold day

but no snow and the sky was clear.

Sara couldn't have asked for better.

Owen looked so cute. His first time in

a sweater and I must say I love

dressing my boy. He is so cute!

All the kids waiting for the bride and groom

to come out of the temple.

Grandma G's Birthday

Katie had us all over for a yummy dinner

to celebrate Grandma Gardner's birthday.

The actual day of her birthday we visited her

at her work so the kids could give her the cards

they made.

Lisa is such an amazing Mother and Grandma.

And we all love her so much and look up to her

a ton!

Uncle Michael and Aunt Skyla's Visit

My brother Michael and his wife Skyla,

finally came back from Alaska to live

in Idaho and on the way home they stopped

by for the week to visit.

Michael played soccer with the girls.

Skyla taught the girls and I to crochet

hats. Which I must say I'm not very good at!

The first few days Owen was a bit timid and

was not quite sure about Michael and Skyla.

But he finally gave Michael a chance and let

him read a book to him. Of course Elmo was

in the book so that helped!

Pine Wood Derby

The Elders Quorum in our ward had a pine

wood derby race for the men. They all got a chance

to build a new car and race it. Brandon did not

have a chance to make a new one so he brought

he one from when he was a boy.

The kids thought it was so fun to cheer for

their dad's Red car. All the other children

joined in cheering for the "Red" Car too.

With out all the bells and whistles and

co2 that some of the men put on their

cars Brandon's came in first. Pretty impressive

since it was made about 15-20 years ago.

Discovery Museum

Brandon and I took the kids to the

Discovery Museum with

tickets my sweet sister gave us.

I swear the kids never get tired of this place.

They could go every day. I think their

favorite party is the grocery store.

Owen had a rough day there but loved

just being left alone.

oh accept when Brandon put him on

the horse. He has always been a little nervous

around horses.

He loved playing in the water. And got a bit wet!

Missed a spot

So on this particular night I gave Owen a bath

I told the girls they could get in after I took

him out. After I got him dressed I put him down

and grabbed his towel and dirty clothes and in that

short of time Owen climbed back in the tub in his

Pajamas and all.

I guess he did not get clean enough the first

time! The girls just laughed and laughed.
