New Earrings

Riley came home from school with her friend Hallie
and was trying to get me to take them to the mall
so Riley could get her ears pierced. I had always
told her she had to wait until she was 12 years
old since that is my rule as a kid. But as I got
thinking I realized that if she really wanted
to pierce her ears now than it would be the same
as when she was 12. So I told her. "sure". But
Brandon wanted to come to and we were busy
that night so she bugged us again the next day.
So we took her to the mall. So was a little nervous
but ready to be brave. We should have done it on a day
when there was two workers so she could pierce both ears
at the same time. She held perfectly still for the first one and
was very brave, but after feeling the pain she did not want
the 2nd ear ring and wanted to go home with one. Of course
I said she could not go home with one ear ring. She cried
and screamed and even an hour later and the mall was closing
she still would not hold still and let the lady pierce her 2nd ear.
Finally Brandon had to hold her her head and I her arms. We
felt so bad but she wanted them pierced and only seconds later
she was smiling through her tears. I think she looks so darling with
them. She picked the Crystal fireball ear rings. She was so excited
to show all her friends and family.

This is the before picture!

This is after the first piercing. She wanted to sit
on my lap for the second one.

This is her red blotchy face after putting up a
fight for the second one.

And this is the next day as happy as can be.

Let me out...

My funny boy loves to get into the cupboards.
But this did not last as long as normal when
he saw his sisters go out side in the back yard.
He crawled over to the window and banged for
a good 15 min.

I don't know what it is with babies and why
they like to smash their face on the glass. But it
is so funny.

Owen Fast Asleep

Katie and Spencer were so nice to come
over to our house one evening to watch our
kids while we visited a friend in the hospital.
Owen was a little fussy and wanted to be held.
Sweet Spencer held him all night and Owen
finally fell a sleep.

Brandon's 31st Birthday

Brandon had his 31st Birthday!
We went to the nice resturant
Ricken Backers in Ogden.
My brother gave us a gift card to it.
So we got to enjoy anything on the menu
and not have to worry about the cost.
What we would have spent was more then
we have ever spent on dinner before.
The food was delicious and I can't wait
to go there again!

After dinner the girls and I gave Brandon
his present. He only got one. He always wants
expensive stuff. It probably was not the funnest
gift for Brandon but he wanted it. Or should I
say needed it.
The girls love their Daddy. And Owen is totally
amazed with his Daddy and loves to play with him.
And his wife loves him the MOST!!!

Paige trying on Brandon's new present.
A new tool belt with suspenders for work.

We all got together another day to
celebrate Brandon's Birthday with all
the family. Grandma Gardner made
Brandon one of his favorite dinner and cake.
He let all the kids help him blow out his candles.

It was fun being together as a family.
With Brandon's sister in town it added
4 more kids to the seven we already had there.
You can imagine the noise level! And all the
fun things you get to laugh at. Including little
boys in their G.I. Joe underwear and High Heels!
Josh is so funny. Poor kid is always surrounded by girls.
I bet he can't wait until his little brother, Tate gets a
little bigger.

Brandon's Aunt Annie and her husband
and three boys came to say hi. Joel
absolulte loves babies and there was
four at the house. He has way too much fun
with them. I love how this does not faze Owen.
He just sticks his thumb in his mouth like
nothing is going on. What a happy cute baby.

Well here is the evidence.

Extra Fun

I took Sierra to the Syracuse
Family Fun Center. She had so much
fun. Usually we only do these kinds of things
as a family and for special occasions but I felt
bad that she had to stay home by herself when
her sisters went with friends to a play.

My sweet friend took Riley and Paige with
Hallie and Madison to the Syracuse High
schools Peter Pan Play. They had so much fun.
And couldn't stop talking about it all night.

Happy St. Patricks Day

I love this fun Holiday. I remember
it as a kid and loved trying to catch
the leprechauns year after year. Even
when I was never successful! Now that
I'm an adult it's my kids turn to spend their
whole childhood trying to catch the leprechauns.
Riley made a trap for them out of a box, blankets
candy and money. She had no luck.
But they left her a trail of Leprechaun
shoes dust which lead to a pile of chocolate coins.
The kids were thrilled!

Cousins came to visit.
Owen, Bailee and Austin

Riley was so excited to have Grandma Gardner
and her favorite cousin, Savannah who was
visiting from Iowa join her for school lunch
on St. Patricks Day.

I just love my little guy!

Later that evening we met up again with the
cousins and went swimming at the Bountiful
Rec. Center.
Owen loved the water! He could care less it was not
bath tub warm. He played for more than an hour
and could have played longer.

Paige practiced floating on her back.

Riley and Savannah were inseparable!

Bowling with the Fam..

Grandpa and Grandma took all the family
to Boondocks to bowl.
Josh, Riley, Maddie, Olivia, Paige, Savannah & Sierra

Grandpa helped all the kids bowl while us
adults bowled a little more competitively.
Of course my score was the worst!

Owen just hung out watching from the stroller.

After Bowling the kids played a few arcade games.
Paige had to take a shot at the bike racing.

Savannah and Riley were very excited about the
prizes they won!

Grandpa's 60th Birthday

My dad had his 60th Birthday on
March 17th
"St. Patricks Day"

So we had him over for dinner to celebrate.
Since it was on the Holiday I had fun decorating
in green. I had green candles at the dinner table,
a clover banner that read, "HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY"
and mini clovers scatter all over the table.

Fun in the Park

The cousins came into town so Grandma took
them all to the park to play.

Fire Station Field Trip

Okay, I don't know how many times I've been
to this Fire Station for Preschool field trips,
I've lost count. But it was Sierra's first time.
And of course I did not get a picture of her.
She was not being cooperative with the camera.
Paige was pretty funny though. The fire man
asked all the kids to raise their hand if they wear
their seat belt and she did not. Not sure why because
she always does. Well the fire man said to her,
"You don't wear your seat belt"? That made her
embarrassed and sad. Then he asked the kids if they
wear their helmet when they ride their bikes and she
again did not raise her hand. The fire man said, "you don't
wear your helmet either"? Okay that did it for Paige.
She gets way to embarrassed and is very shy. She shed
a couple of tears and was timid in the fire truck.

First time playing out side

This particular day happened to be a pretty
decent day. So Brandon took Owen out to play.
Of course he loved it. Crawled ever where and
I can't wait for summer so he can play even more
outside.

Sierra's First Dance Class

I've wanted to put Sierra in dance for a
while. She loves to dance. So we took her to
Bravo to try it out. She loved it of course! Half of the
class was ballet and the other half
tumbling.

It was so cute watching her try to do a
plea when she could hardly reach the bar, let
alone bend any lower.

Owen 7 Months

Owen is 7 Months and counting!

This picture is a little blurry but so cute!

This picture just goes to show that Owen goes
about his day with his tongue hanging out like
a dog! So funny!
