Friendship Program

As a family including Grandpa and Grandma Gardner
we attended Riley's 2nd grade end of year program.
The theme was about Friendship.  The kids
got to decide what parts they wanted to to.  There
were singers, speaking parts and dancers.  Riley
wanted to sing.  So with a group of four girls
they sang a song solo before the rest of the classes
joined in.  Riley was very nervous of course but
did a great job.  I think I even saw her lips move when
she sang!

They all wore their Tie Dye Shirts they made earlier
that year.  The 2nd grade teachers, mostly Riley's teacher
put together a slide show of the kids during the
year.  Riley was in a bunch of the pictures.  Riley
loved her 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Sube.

Crazy Hair

Riley had another crazy hair day at school.
For the kids it never gets old.  Oh well
it's something new for me to do to their hair!

Fathers Day

The kids and I were so excited to give Brandon
his Fathers Day presents.  We love to spoil him.

Owen and Sierra love giving kisses to Daddy.
Sierra and Owen gave Brandon new hatch struts
for his mustang.  He had been using a pvc pipe to
hold it up.   Can you say, White Trash!

Riley and Paige made him cards and home made gifts.
Plus they got him new shoes.
Poor Riley and Paige did not
get to enjoy their day as much as they could have
if they were not sick.  I took them to the insta care
and was there for most of the afternoon.  Riley
tested  positive for strep and Paige did not.
It probably was not fun for Brandon either, sitting
home with out us all on Fathers day.

But we made up for it by giving him all his fun gifts.
We all gave him the best gift of all.  We had his
air conditioner changed over to the new coolant
and recharged his air conditioner with out him
knowing.  We handed him the keys to his
car and told him to start it up.  I'm sure in his dreams
he was hoping to turn the key and hear the roar
of a new muscle engine.  But he was still thrilled
to have cool air blowing on him after driving his
car summer after summer in his hot car.

Later that day we visited my dad.

What wonderful Men me and the kids have in our
lives.  We could never live with out them!

We love you, Brandon,  Dave and Bob!

2nd Grade Field Trip

Riley had a 2nd grade field trip at
Hogle Zoo.  I got to be one of the
chaperones and keep an eye on a group of kids
from her class.
I rode the bus down with the class which was not
too bad.  Riley loved it though.  She laid down
on my lap the entire time there while I scratched her
back.  We rode home with our friends, the
Hamblin's in their air conditioned car.   Which was
much better!

One of the reasons Riley's class visited the zoo
was because they were doing a report on their
favorite animal.  Riley loves Elephants so that
is what she picked for her report.
The baby elephant was so fun to watch.

Tumble Tumble Tumble

The girls love to tumble and that is all they do.
Tumbling in my living room, at tumbling class,
in the front yard, back yard when ever and where ever!
They are so excited that they have been improving.

Riley got her "round off one" by herself.

Paige is just right behind her.
Girls aren't competitive at all!

Riley was so excited she threw her backhand spring
all by herself at her tumbling class that she had to
come home and try it again on the grass so she could
officially say that she can do her backhand spring
all by herself.

My two cute men!

Brandon was wearing his hat before heading out the door and Owen was fascinated so
he had to wear his hat to be just like his dad.
My men are so adorable!

In the Spot Light

Paige and Sierra have been taking dance at Light Box Dance
Studio for one year now and are so ecstatic to be in the
end of year review.  Their favorite part of course is
to dress up in their dance costume.
The girls started with...

Getting all beautified!

All dressed up with makeup on
and ready to head out for the review.
They were so cute to in their costumes!
They loved posing for my camera.

With all the anticipation for the review the girls got
all tuckered out on the way to the review.
It's tiring to be the star in the spotlight!
Or they were just building up their energy for
a long night of performing!

Paige and Sierra both had 2 dance routines as well as
a finale.  So in stead of staying back stage the entire time
we had to go pick up our little dancer after each performance
and return them before each performance. I was walking
back and forth most of the night.  The review was
about 3 hours long.
But the girls did great and had so much fun performing
on a big stage.
Sierra was the smallest girl on her dance team.

After the review was over Brandon and I gave the girls
a rose bouquet.  They loved it and felt so special!

The girls had to be at the theater before dinner and
the review got over so late that by then the girls were
starving.  Brandon and I decided to take the family
to Sizzler since it's a new restaurant we like now,
thanks to my mom and John!
The girls were so tired and emotional spent that
it was hard to finish eating.  They got a bunch of
smiles from people at the restaurant because
they were in their cute costumes which they
thought was fun!

Daddy Daughter Camp Out

For the first year at Daddy Daughter Camp Out
Brandon got to take all the girls.  This was fun for me
getting Owen all to myself!  And the girls got
some bonding time with their dad.
Don't expect many pictures when a guy is in charge
of taking them.  This is what he got.  And of course
there are none with Brandon in them because guys
don't think of those things.  But hey I'm proud
of Brandon for getting 3 pictures if anything!

Don't get to mislead by this picture.  Sure it looks like
Sierra is scarfing down her hot dog.  But Brandon
informed me which I could have guessed that
she had maybe two bites.

Riley, Hallie Kofoed and Paige.

All tucked in ready to snooze!

Daddy Daughter Picnic in the Park

For Riley's activity Days she got to pack a lunch,
with her mom's help of course for her and her dad.
They got to ride their bikes with all their friends
and leaders to Jensen park in Syracuse and have
a picnic with their dads.
Riley thought that was pretty cool to have her dad
all to herself with out other siblings!

Out side fun

The weather warmed up a bit so the kids wanted
to put the sprinkler under the tramp and play in
the water.   Owen just got new sunglasses and I
love how he kept them on while jumping on the
tramp!
