Already Trouble

Owen figured out how to climb things.
Starting with the toilet unfortunately.
Oh the things kids do to give their mom's
more gray hair!

Sierra's First day

First day of Preschool for Sierra.

She got right to work finding her name to trace.
This year she will trace her last name as well.
I bet my girls are glad their names are not
forever long!

After tracing her name she got to write her name
on the white board along with her other classmates.
Sierra is so cute. She was not scared just excited.
She has been the easy child so far to drop off to school.
She has never cried and enjoys school.

Bear Lake with the Sandbergs

We finally got our good friends the Sandbergs
up to the cabin with us. We had so much fun!

The babies, Owen and Sadie hung out
in the play pin sand free!

Poor Sadie did not like her life jacket at first and
got sun screen in her eyes.

But Owen loved his girl life jacket and sitting
on the seat by himself thinking he is so big.

All the kiddos. Riley, Carter, Hallie, Paige,
Sierra and Ellie.

We did not have enough adults to let the kids
ski so Brandon took Riley and Carter wake
boarding with him.

We were having so much fun until this huge
black cloud rolled in and brought heavy rain
and even hail. We could not believe it. We tried
waiting out the storm in the car and planned to
play on the beach after but it would not let up.
Every time it died down us adults would
get out of the car to finish cleaning up the beach
and it started pouring hard again. We attempted it
a few times. I think it dropped at least 10 degrees
from the storm.

Brandon and I soaking wet from head to toe!

After getting warm baths and dinner at the cabin
Brandon, Riley, Ben and Carter went 4 wheeling
while the other kids put on a show for me
and Cassie. I think they are singing,
Once there was a snowman.
Perfect song for a summer night!

Check up

Sierra had her 4 yr old check up,
and I told her she did not have to have
any shots. But when the nurse came in
she said Sierra needed a second dose
for something I can't remember. I felt so bad after
telling Sierra she did not have to have one.
But she said, it's okay mom. And
let me hold her hands and only whimpered
when she got the shot. What a brave girl
being so little and all.

Sierra's weight is 28 pounds at 3%

Height 37 1/4 inches at 7%

and as healthy as can be.

Sierra's Birthday

My darling Sierra turned 4

She woke up to our new tradition
of birthday balloons tied to their
favorite candy. We tied Sierra's
to kit Kat's.

The girls helped me decorate Sierra's
Birthday castle cake.
And tried sneaking a few gumballs and licks of
frosting when mom was not looking!
Sierra wanted
a Princess party this year.

Also another tradition we have is letting the
birthday girl pick what she wants for dinner.
Sierra wanted potatoes, carrots and chicken
in the crock pot with rolls. Notice
there are no carrots on her plate but she did
get brave and try one. She also got to eat off
the "you are special today" plate.

Later that night we had family over to celebrate
her birthday. Since she was having a princess
party she got to wear a crown that night.

Here is the back of the cake.

Mom and Dad and Sierra
You can tell Sierra has smiled way to much
and is forcing the smile in this one!

I told Sierra I needed a picture with her and
her sisters and this is what girls do. They pose!
I just said, "smile"!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Grand kid Carnival

My dad invited the grand kids over to his
house for a "Grand kid carnival".
He sent them invitations in the mail which
they were so excited about. And he had so
many things planned.
It began with a professional puppet show.
My girls had never seen one and were glued
to it.
My dad grilled up some yummy hamburgers
and hot dogs with all the salads and the works.
It has been a while since I had my dads cooking.
I miss is it! He cooks so good!

After lunch the kids got pony rides. Owen for some
reason does not like horses. But the girls
loved that they could have as many turns as they
wanted.

My dad's wife, Gloria brought home from
her school a blow up water slide.
The kids were so excited! And had so much fun!

I love Sierra's face in this picture. She is out
for the kill with the water gun!

Then to end off a fun day the kids got
to whack a Pinata. Which they were having
trouble opening. So the adult girls had a try.
No luck. So the men took a shot. Finally
the candy came free!

The kids told me they had so much fun.
And I enjoyed spending the time with my
dad!

Thanks for all the FUN Dad and Gloria!

Owen's 1st Birthday

The girls were so excited to wake Owen up on
his Birthday and give him loves. Riley made
party hats by cutting out paper and taping
it on to head bands. Surprisingly Owen
kept his on.

We headed down to salt lake to take care of
a few things and grab a bite to eat and look around
the Planetarium at the Gate Way.
We then headed to Toys R Us to get Owen a
present. I know it was his birthday and we
were just getting him a present. We already
had something in mind to get him months before
but that fell through last minute. But Owen
and the girls loved playing around the toy store.

Later we went home so I could make Owen's
cake and get ready for his party.
Owen's cake had to be one of the easier
ones I've made for my kids. Thank Goodness!

Owen was so cute opening his presents.
He just wanted to look at each one so carefully.

We practiced a few times before his birthday to
blow out his candle and he just wanted to grab the
flame and not blow it out. So of course that is what
he did at his party and I had to grab his hand from
getting burned and he got mad at me.

We tried stripping him down and giving him
his own cake to eat and like all my girls he did
not want to touch it. So funny!

Owen with all his presents.

This is the toy Brandon and I decided to
get Owen. Day after day he just sits in it.
He likes to just throw the balls out of it.

Paige's first day of Kindergarten

Paige wore the new outfit that
Grandma G. gave her for school.

She picked out her polka dot back pack.

Paige and some of her friends, Riley and Channing.
Riley is in her class.
I would have followed her in and taken a picture of
her sitting in her desk but the way the teacher
had things going it did not work out.
Paiges teacher taught 3rd grade last year
so I'm hoping she can accommodate these
little scared kindergartners.
Paige said she was a little nervous but
you would not be able to tell.
