Hogle Zoo

I was looking for things to do the night before this day for
Owen because he was getting bored of being home with me
while the girls were at school.  The thought came to me
to go to the Zoo.  I had heard that the zoo had free days.
And to my luck the next day was the last free day of the
season.  We went to the Hogle Zoo with Kami and Emery.
It was very crowded and half of the zoo was still under
construction but it was free and Owen loved seeing the
animals and hanging out with his cousin.
We packed a lunch and made a day of it.
It was beautiful weather we hated to leave.
But I had to get home to pick the girls up from school.
We stopped on the way home
for a treat which Owen missed out on because
he had fallen asleep driving home.

Owen's favorite was the Elephants.

We had to do a bit of convincing for him to stand next to
the Gorilla statue.

And even more convincing to stand next to the
Elephant statue.

Federation Recital

Riley had her Piano Federation Recital.  It was just
for the students that performed for the judges.  She
played her federation piece.  She did a fabulous job and
got the highest score which was, Superior from the judges.
Which none of us were surprised.  She earned it by practicing
a lot and memorizing her piece.

Time Out for Women

Rachael, Lisa, Katie and I went to Time Out for Women.
I had mentioned it to them wanting to go myself hopping
they would be as interested as me.  Lisa surprised us all
by buying us girls all tickets for Christmas and for
paying for a hotel for us all to spend the night.
It's a two day conference with amazing speakers and music.

Rachael and I shared a room and Lisa and Katie shared
a room.   We all had a great time enjoying what we
learned, going out to eat, and spending time together.

Another Mountain to Ski

Our weekend at Bear Lake was a long weekend with no school
on Monday because of Presidents day.  Brandon took off work
so we all could go skiing on the way home from the cabin.
We went to Beaver Mountain.
Which happened to be fun hills for the kids.  Owen tried skiing
next to Brandon with out the guide ropes.
Riley and Paige went off by themselves.  Sierra had to stick
with me because she is too short to get on the lift herself.
Grandma and Grandpa Gardner stop by on the way home
to see the kids ski.

Bear Lake Swimming Pool

We went up to Bear Lake for the weekend with
family.  The snow was not very deep for skiing down
the road by the cabin.  So we decided to go for a swim
 at the city pool instead.
The kids like this pool because there are no
rules about how old you have to be to go in
the hot tub.

Valentines Day 2014

HAPPY VALENTINES!!!
Our traditional picture on the stairs.
Along with my patched holes in the wall
ready to paint!

The girls wanted their hair in fun valentines hair styles for school.
They all had parties which I was able to stop by and see and
help out in Paige's class with a game.  It was one I made up called,
"Who stole the missing heart?"

Daddy Daughter Dance

Bluff Ridge Elementary had their annual Daddy Daughter Dance.
The girls look forward to this every year.
I was able to volunteer and help sell flowers at the dance this time.
It was so fun to see the girls slow and fast dance with their dad.
I have the cutest girls.  Their dance picture even made it in the school
year book!

GrandParent Day

Grandpa Gardner came to visit the girls at school
for GrandParent Day.  He walked around the school to
see all their class rooms, take them to the book fair and
buy them each a book, take them out to lunch at Arctic Circle
and pose for a fun picture.
The girls absolutely love Grandparent Day!
And they have a wonderful Grandpa to share it with.   They love to
show Grandpa around their school and they hate when he
has to leave.

Foot Ball and more

Brandon's sister, Katie invited the family over for the
Super Bowl.  We had a good time together watching
the game, eating good food and the kids loved playing
with Grandpa.  Katie and Spencer even had fun games and
drawings that night.
