Field Day

Riley had her field day for school. I volunteered to
help out and this is the game I was put in charge
of. Tug a War. It was kind of rough getting
started because the hose would not reach to
the pool and other mom's need the hose for their
game also. Plus there was only one rope and two
tug a war stations. So we tried using the extra hose
that was not being used. That ended up
being a bad idea and the hose broke with the first group.
I could not believe it. Luckily a substitute teacher had
a rope in his car. Also when the first group came there was
not enough water to even cover the bottom of the
pool. The kids had fun anyway.

Riley is doing everything she can to avoid going
in the pool. It was quit interesting that with
most classes the girls would win the tug a war.

After all the games the fire trucks came and
sprayed water for the kids to play in.

Family Reunion Time

We went camping at North Fork, Mustang flats
for my family Gibson Reunion.

The kids were so good about helping me and
Brandon put up the tent.

Even Owen had fun pumping up the air mattress.

After camp was set up we went on a small
hike. And of course the kids picked what they
called flowers for me!

Later the girls painted rocks.

We made a camp fire and made yummy smores!
Owen usually has stranger anxiety with everyone
but his siblings and me and Brandon but he was
so exhuasted he just chilled in Grandpa Avery's
lap until he could not stay awake any longer.

The girls love their aunt Kami!

Owen would not take a nap. It was too loud
in the tent. And so hot. But at least he was happy.

It was hot during the day and a bit cold at night.
I worried about the girls being warm so I piled
so many blankets over their sleeping bags.

I pulled Owen in with me a couple hours before
we got up. I'm so glad Brandon is always hot. He
gave me his sweat shirt to sleep with which was over
my long sleeve shirt. I'm always cold and did not
sleep very much because it was cold. I guess I don't
like camping as much as I use to. It was more fun
and less work when it was just me and Brandon!

Riley was so excited that her tooth came out
when she was brushing her teeth. I'm glad we were
going home that day so she could put it under
her pillow at home!

The girls loved making paper rockets and
specially loved shooting them off. They would
launch them over and over again. It had to
be pretty tiring running to get the rocket
back and forth. To bad I can't get them to
be so willing to get stuff for me at home!

Owen thought he was so big sitting at the
table with his sisters eating Cheetos.

Babysitting

This is Riley and Baby Matix.
Riley asked her school teacher, Mrs. Edwards
if she could babysit her baby and
she said yes. Of course with my help!
He is such a good baby and did not make
a peep while his Mommy and Daddy were
out having dinner. Riley's teacher is so nice
and I'm so glad things worked out so she got
to be Riley's first grade teacher.

Jordan River Temple

My older sister, Kate planned this big
temple trip with all my aunts, uncles,
grandparents and siblings. We were
going to do my Grandpa Corrigan's
temple work and all my other family
brought other family names to do at the
temple. We went to the Jordan River Temple.
I had not done baptisms for the dead in
so many years. If you are endowed you can
only do Baptisms if you bring your own
names in to be done. Other wise they
encourage you to do other temple work.
It was such an amazing experience.
My brother in law, Stephen did my
Grandpa's work for him. I'm so glad it
is done.

Dance & Tumbling

We finally found a place we like for Sierra to
take Dance at. It's in Kaysville called,
"Light Box".
We enrolled her in tumbling as well for the
summer.
She likes dance and I hope she sticks with it.
She is the smallest in her dance and tumbling class.
It is so cute to see her climb the rope and do her
plea's in dance.

Fathers Day

The girls could not wait to give their dad his
presents for Fathers Day.
My kids are so lucky to have such a good dad.
Even though Brandon was not feeling top notch
he still put on a smile and went to church
and taught his primary class.
He is such an amazing man!

After church we went to Brandon's aunt Deb's
house for dinner and then stopped in to visit my
dad.

After visiting with my dad we headed back down
to Farmington to see his dad. I am the one that
usually takes the pictures but for some reason
missed this awesome picture with Brandon, his
brother and Dad. So I got it from my sister-in Law.
Thanks Rachael! I love this picture of the men and
my cute Owen!

Picnic at the park

I decided to pack a lunch and head to the park
with the kids for a picnic. Owen does not really
like slides. But the girls had fun taking him
down them anyway. I love the days when I have
nothing to do or be to and I can just hang out
with the kids and slow down a bit.

"GARDNER" Family Pictures 2011

We finally got our family pictures taken with
our little Owen in them.
And they turned out pretty darn good!
We had Brandon's cousin take them at Layton
Park. We loved the colors that grandma G. picked out.

Planting the Garden..

with Daddy's help.

Owen loves dirt. Any chance he gets to play in
the dirt he takes it.

I love how he is watching Brandon,
concentrating very hard with shovel in hand.

Riley's first Piano Lesson

Riley started taking Piano Lessons.
She loves it but it's hard for her to
practice by herself. She wants me to sit by
her every second. Which I love to but it's
hard when I have other children and it's always
when I need to make dinner. I hope she sticks
with it and gets better though.

Hilarious

Who knows what makes babies laugh.
I just love hearing Owen's laugh.
