Thanks Giving

For Thanks Giving this year we went to Idaho to spend the day
with my family.  Four out of the six siblings and their families
were there.  Kami and Skyla both announced that they were
expecting.  Both due in June a week apart.  We are all
so excited!
We had a fabulous meal and of course on my mom's best China.

After we ate we went shooting.  We shot John's guns and
did a little shot gun shooting at clay pigeons.

The kids took their turn shooting but were more
interested in driving the four wheeler.

Brandon, Michael, Mikel-in the red, Karissa and John

The sun set was gorgeous but you can't quite tell in
the picture.  But I love my hubby anyway!

The next Morning the kids went with Grandpa to feed the
cows.   They love riding in the back of the truck while the
cows grap the hay off the back where they are standing.

And of course went for a ride on the tracker.

We later caught up with Michael and Skyla and went bowling.

Bluff Ridge Productions

Riley decided to join the Bluff Ridge Show Choir this year.
And she had her first performance at Layton High.
It happened to be on a Sunday which was interesting.
It was a concert of Christmas music song from all different
groups of faith.  Baptist, Catholic, Christens, etc.
It was very interesting and the music was great.
The kids did so good and everyone loved them!
They were so professional in the way they moved, sang
and waited for their turn.  They were the last to perform.
Riley enjoyed performing more then she thought she
would.  She originally did not want to but I insisted and
she was glad!
Riley is in the front row with the red scarf.

After the performance Riley and I
hurried to Grandma Gardner's to meet
up with family for a late dinner.

Trans Siberian Orchestra

My Mom and John invited us to go to the
Trans Siberian Orchestra concert at the Energy Solutions
arena.  It was definitely different then what I had thought.
The best way to describe it was 80's Christmas Music!
They were very talented musicians.  The guitarist, pianist
and violinist were my favorite.  The men with their long hair
would whip it around as they played.  The narrator was quite
funny and the story was a good message.  The female soloist was
absolutely amazing.  I could have listened to her all night.
She had such a powerful voice with a hint of 80's style.
It was a good two to three hour concert.  We got home
close to midnight. My sweet mother in law was great to
spend the night and put the kids to bed for us.

Grandma's Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!!!

We celebrated Grandma Gardner's Birthday at Katie's
house.  We had an easy fun dinner with the cousins
and both Great Grandparents.
I included two pictures because if I were to merge
the two they would be a decent picture.
My son had to move in one
and Grandma's eyes were closed in the other.
We are missing 4 more of her grandkids that
could not be there but they love her also.
With so many grandkids for one grandma you think
it would be hard to give attention to each one but
somehow she does it.  She is truly a special women.

We love Grandma and the Grandkids adore and love
her also.  She is a wonderful Mother and an amazing
Grandma!
We love her so much!   We are so very grateful for everything
she does for us and we love having her in our life.

Fall Piano Recital

Paige and Riley had their Fall/Halloween Piano
Recital.  The girls had the option of wearing their
Halloween Costume.  Paige did not want to and Riley
did.  This was Paige's first one.  She was of
course nervous but did a fabulous job!
She has picked up the piano talent quite fast.

Paige played "The Moon" and "More Next Door".
It was a duet with her teacher, Connie.

Riley played three songs.  One by herself
and then two duets with her friend Paige Thorstensen.
Riley and Paige's duets was performed for judges
which they did a fantastic job and the judges gave them
the top score of "Superior"!

"Waltz of the Polka-Dotted Ghost and
the duet "Your TUrn to Rock"

"The Circus is Coming"
