Sea World

Late, after Disneyland closed we started the drive
to San Diego. We were all exhausted from the fun day
and it was late. We were following behind my Mom,
her husband and my sister. We were not familiar with
the drive and our gas tank was creeping up on empty.
As a good wife always says to her stubborn husband,
pull over at the next gas station before we run out of gas.
And then the stubborn husband replies, "there will be other
gas stations a head, plus you have a few gallons even
when it says zero miles to empty."
Of course the good wife was right, as usual!
There were no gas stations in sight. Or anything for that matter.
We were driving along the coast with not a thing in sight.
My mom was a good 30 minutes a head of us. I'm
not sure how she would turn around. There were no exits.
Well the Lord heard the desperate plea of the good wife
and the humbled plea of the stubborn husband and
low and behold up in the distance there was
a gas station. We pulled off and Ironically enough the gas
station was called, EXTRA MILE.
Now come on was the Lord trying to be funny.
Okay we laughed and the good wife still
was able to kiss her husband! And the
stubborn husband we all hope learned his lesson.

The next morning we headed off to
SEA WORLD.

Brandon and the kids in a fake bear cave.
Riley is so cute and made a bear face.

Sierra liked it better out of the cave
since there were bear growling sounds
coming from the cave that made it a little
more realistic. She like the sizes of the bears
paws compared to her tiny hands.

I don't know why we were all so excited
to see the sharks when we are all
terrified of them.

The shows are not what they use to be when
Brandon and I were kids but my kids did not
know any different and liked it.

We got a chance to feed the sea lions and seals.
Owen was not scared at all when the Sea lion
came right up to him and started making loud
sounds. Owen loved it.

Sea world has this Elmo's play area for kids now.
The girls had so much fun climbing up ropes
into the play houses and bouncing.

That night we headed to Mission Beach.
It was extra special for me and Brandon
since that is were we went for our Honeymoon.
We did not get in the water but the kids, specially
Sierra and Paige loved playing in the sand
and Riley loved collecting the sea shells.
My mom helped Sierra make her castle.

The next day at Sea world upon the kids request
we went back to the Arctic exhibits.
Brandon and Sierra touching the Ice wall.

After emptying our wallet we got to feed and touch
the dolphins. Brandon doesn't think I should have
said anything in front of the girls but it bugged me
that I paid a ton of money for the oldest and blind
dolphin that could not even find the fish and did not
make the cute sound that dolphins make. The girls
loved touching them but I think it would have been fun
if the dolphin moved a little and played with us like all
the others around us. I guess I just wanted the one time
experience for my kids to be the best. They still loved it
and were surprised at how it felt. Sierra would not feed
the dolphin and Brandon had to hold her hand to pet it.
But she loved it anyway.
