Wanna be

So Sierra always wants to do what her sisters
are doing.  And since she is not in Kindergarten
yet she does not get the opportunity to have a crazy
hair day like her sisters.  And well she wanted to.
So before bed she asked to have her hair
like Riley's was.  So I let her.

See how excited she is!

Well in the morning this is what it turned out to be.
She became Shirley temple over night.  You can tell the smile
faded a bit from the night before.  I don't think she
is too fond of it!

But she is such a cute girl anyway!

Swimming with Friends

Our friends that just moved in by us invited us
to swim at their Grandma's pool.  My older
two were in school so it was just Sierra and owen
with me.

Berlin, Blake, Sierra and Owen
The kids were so cute playing together. And it helped
Sierra be more daring in the water from watching
her friend swim around with no life jacket.

They let us borrow a floaty for Owen.  Which he
got use to so quickly.  It is so much better then his life
Jacket that tips him over.  He had more control with
this floaty.  He was so funny.  He would jump off
the side and just float on his belly.  It took a little
time for him to learn to kick his legs to get
anywhere though.

Fixing my Train

We all know Owen loves Trains.  One of his
electric trains was not working so he
fixed it for Owen.  Owen was so involved
not only because he loves trains but he loves
doing anything with his Dad and using tools!
He totally enjoyed this moment.  And Brandon
let him try too to fix it too.

Great Grandpa's Birthday Party

Brandon's Grandpa Eli Stanford LeCheminant
turned 80 and his children and some
of his grand children put on a big celebration
for him.  He had family and friends come.
He knew about it but not to the full extent.
Dinner and dessert were served.  A lot of work
was put in to his party.
It was a fun night.  But it's always fun when
Grandpa LeCheminant is at the party!

The family all got a post card with a
picture of Grandpa and with it addressed to
Grandpa and were told to write a memory
of Grandpa they had and mail it on a certain
date.  So Grandpa got a post card everyday
for a few weeks before his birthday.

All of Stan's grandkids and their spouses got
up and said why they love Grandpa.   So
I had to say something and to make it worse I
was last.  And looking at this picture he has a lot
of Grandkids.  Good thing there is so much to say
about Grandpa.  He is so full of life and always
cracks jokes and makes everyone laugh.
 He is a wonderful person!

Grandpa has 5 kids.  4 Girls and one boy.
Some had to drive and fly long distances but
they all with their spouses were able to make it to
Grandpa's party.

Grandpa Gardner's Birthday

For Grandpa Gardner's birthday each year we
usually celebrate it up at the cabin in Bear Lake.
However this year his birthday was during the week
so we celebrated it at his house with everyone.

Sierra, Owen and Josh loved the puzzles.

Some of Bob's grandkids as well as nieces and nephews
were there to celebrate.
Riley, Paige, Tate, Bob, Abe, Owen, Sierra, Jenny,
Josh, and the twins Wyatt and Carter.  Not sure which
is which!  (Sorry Mindy)

Owen really wanted to eat his cupcake but hates
getting his hands messy.  So he ate the whole
think like this!

Grandpa and kids.  Grandpa loved his new
t-shirts and tie.

Grandpa Gardner's Birthday

Usually for Grandpas birthday we are up at
the cabin and celebrate it there but this year
his birthday was celebrated at his home.

Sierra, Owen and Josh love the puzzles!

I think Grandpa likes chocolate cupcakes too but he
is always thinking of his grandkids and knew
they would like them too. So he got a "Cupcake Cake"
with candles for his birthday.  He is a wonderful
Person and an amazing Grandpa.  My kids
and their cousins are so blessed to have him
in their life.
We Love You Grandpa Gardner!

Owen really wanted this chocolate cupcake but
did not want to get his hands all messy so he ate
the entire thing like this!

Fourth of July Celebration

After the pool we headed over to Katie and Spencer's
for a BBQ and some fireworks.
You would think the kids got enough water
at the pool.  I guess it gave them something to
do while the food was being made.

Spencer the "Grill Master" cooking up some
delicious steaks.

Brandon just hanging out enjoying it.

Grandpa and Grandma and the kids.

The girls put on a quick dance show while we
waited for it to get dark enough for fireworks.

Brandon and Spencer getting the fireworks ready
and deciding the order of the show.
Spencer was awesome to buy all these fireworks.
He even got some of those big ones.

Owen was not quite sure about the fireworks but
as long as he sat with mom and dad he was good.

The girls were a little nervous of the big ones above
our head so they hid under a blanket and giggled
like girls do.

Nothing better then summer nights cuddled next to
your best friend.

Roy Pool

For the Fourth of July as a family we went to the
Roy Aquatic center and met up with Brandon's sister
Katie and her family and Grandma and Grandpa
Gardner.   Owen loved the water.

The water did get a bit cold and so the sun always felt
nice for the girls.  And they loved lounging around.

We had about our entire house of stuff with us.
Sierra got the best deal though.  Getting a ride
back to the car.

I added these videos just for my families enjoyment.
Hopefully you'll get some laughs remembering how
much fun we had!

Last Day of School

Paige and Riley had their last day of school and
will miss there teachers.

Paige had Mrs. Christensen

Riley had Mrs. Sube

Sierra's Kindergarten Check Up

Sierra was very excited for Kindergarten which made
this doctors appointment a little easier.  She knew
she had to get her shots in order to go to Kindergarten
so she put on a brave face and got the shots.  She
did not even shed a tear.  She just told me it hurt.
I knew she wanted to cry but was trying so hard to
be brave.  It's a good thing they do the shots last.

Sierra weighs 31.4 pounds at 4%
and is 39 inches tall at 5%

She is just a little thing but as healthy
as can be!

She thought is was fun that the doctor asked her to
draw simple shapes.

Teacher Gifts

This year we wanted to give our teachers something
simple but nice.  Who doesn't love a good cookie?
Sierra also gave one to her Preschool teacher.

Field Day

So I volunteered again to help out at field day.
I'm not sure why.  I only get to see Riley
for one rotation.  What I really want to do
is just follow her around and watch her have fun.
I helped out at the sponge/bucket race.  It was
one of the few rotations that had water involved
so the kids were always a bit more hyper. Specially
the older ones.

But I did sneak a couple of pictures when she
was at rotations close to mine.

Riley got completely soaked by the fire truck.
And loved it!  But Riley and I were
ready to go home.
